Pricing

The price shown is a starting price for two side windows on a car. A single side window starts at $50. Your final price depends on:

  • Age of the film
  • Type and quality of the tint
  • Amount of adhesive residue
  • Window size and shape
  • Vehicle or building type
  • How badly the film has bubbled or deteriorated

Boat, home and business removals are quoted by the number and size of the windows. We inspect and give you an accurate quote before work begins.

What to expect

Some removals are straightforward. Older or heavily damaged film takes more labor and cleanup, so timing varies with the condition of the film.

Cars and trucks are done at our Grantville shop. For boats, homes and businesses we travel within about 15 miles of the shop.

Planning to re-tint? We can install new film after removal. See car window tinting.

Good to know

Why not do it yourself? DIY removal can scratch the glass, damage defroster lines, break sensitive trim pieces, and leave stubborn adhesive or uneven cleaning marks. We use proven methods that break down the adhesive and lift aging film with minimal risk.

Boats and yachts. Marine film is harder to remove because of salt exposure, curved glass, older adhesive buildup and harsh UV deterioration. We remove it carefully to protect delicate surfaces and visibility-critical glass.

FAQ

When should window tint be removed?

Common reasons are bubbling or peeling film, film that has faded to purple or turned hazy, scratched or damaged film, and tint that is too dark for California law, which often comes up after buying a used vehicle.

Do I need to remove old tint before getting new tint?

Yes. Many customers remove older film before upgrading to ceramic tint, which has better heat rejection and UV protection.

Why do homes and businesses remove window film?

Usually because the film has discolored or no longer performs properly, the business is remodeling or rebranding, or the owner wants newer film technology.
